the 100 push-up challenge

April 23rd, 2009 by Sandhya Borra

baby-push-up.jpgNow its been coming in my dreams. every day! I wake up with this feeling I just got off a round of pushups and failed to do the 100. Am starting to become paranoid about this thing. Help me here…any other deviated personalities out there who want to do 100 pushups in one shot like me? I know at least 40 others..my muay thai gym mates,,,but I want to see if this fever is present outside NJMT as well…

Countdown beginning now……

And I just loved this!

April 14th, 2009 by Sandhya Borra

I just loved this when i read this somewhere:

“Its not having what you want that’s important; It is wanting what you already have”

Strikes so much sense into a wide range of things. We never appreciate what we have or who we have. we always have this picture of something else or someone else. Life in all its unfairness is sometimes fair. Penny for the thought!

fused.jpgAnyone ever wonder about the art of glass making. And no! I do not mean the glasses that carry wine! I meant the glass artifacts and jewelery that are actually picking up a lot of vibe in the fashion world these days. Glass jewelery is expensive. I was window shopping for some in Lambertville and realized I cannot shell out 100 bucks for a small piece of a glass pendant. And then the other day, I ran into a display of the same on sale and guess where? Of course, NYC!

mosaicfused.JPGFused Glass jewelery is really cool to look at and it actually got me into thinking maybe I want to start making my own fused glass pendants! I did check out a few courses here and there but no solid leads yet.

Anyone out there has any suggestions or ideas? email me!

Year of breaks

April 13th, 2009 by Sandhya Borra

2009 seems to be the year where I seem to be taking longer breaks and more often, from blogging. But as is the case with true love, it is a passion to write and genuine bloggers who love to write always return.
Its been a year of shifts on many paradigms. Life took many twists and turns and hence the longer recesses from returning to do what we love to do. Once the dust settles in everything is clear again.

So, as I embark on my blogging journey again, I would like to start pulling in a few ideas that seem to make sense, even though they don’t fall within the general theme of the blog (which is “running”). As more and more diverse posts emerge, I probably might consider branching them out into separate sites. But for now, with my attendance being not so bright in the blogosphere, I wish to keep things simple and write everything in one place.
